Steve Allen has over 40 years experience in the engineering industry.
Former apprentice at Dagenham Ford Motor company he later became the Vice President of the Velencia,
Spain plant at just 22. His knowledge in the robotic engineering field then meant that he was asked to
introduce robotics into the Germany plant. This then led the way for robotics in FORD plants across the globe.
He was Managing Director of WSP, which has since become a international acclaimed company for engineering design.
In 1994 he set up Cavendish Engineers, offering clients an innovative approach to engineering design.
For the last ten years he has been at the forefront of energy technology and has seen its impact on the
engineering industry both pre and post design. He is therefore an expert on the LCC products available on the
market, now and possible changes in the future He designed the first CHP to be installed into a government
building back in 2003 and is still very much involved in advising important government departments on energy
policy and energy reduction in commercial buildings. In 2009 he gained his CIBSE LCC consultation accreditation,
which demonstrates his skill level in this diverse and complicated subject.
His passion for this subject shines through and his seminars are thought provoking, informative and often create
a debate. As Cavendish Engineers is not tied to one manufacturer it means that Steve’s speaker style is impartial,
and is able to give pros and cons on most energy related subjects.
