petroleum retail
The petroleum market has seen many changes in the last 50 years.
The industry is split into two sections, commercial and retail.
The commercial market includes power generators, industrial all transport and agriculture customers, independent fuel
distributors (transport and heating) and all government related services. Whereas, the retail sector covers fuels mainly
sold from
petrol stations. It is the retail sector that Cavendish Engineers has recently been involved in.
Over the last 18 years the number of petrol stations has reduced by
over half.
This reduction is due to the running costs,
increase in fuel costs and the introduction of supermarket fuelling stations.
Cavendish has worked with worldwide fueling companies to provide an environmentally conscientious
engineering solution. The energy reduction falls in line with their green roll out programme.
A modern filling station that sells approx 5 million litres per year will cost approx £2M to build. It is therefore important
that the equipment installed is
durable and sustainable.
We work with clients to ensure that the right low carbon solution is used;
whether it is replacement design or installation.
We are also
CIBSE LCC (Low Carbon Consultancy) accredited, which means we can provide you with an un-biased report on a sites
energy efficiency and recommendations on how savings can be made.
Cavendish Engineers understands that shop forecourts are important to a sites profitability. We therefore develop a programme
that is flexible to the clients needs.
All of our operations project team are
UK PIA accredited and therefore equipped to work in this challenging environment.
We also hold membership with APEA.
